Project description:

Projekt FLEXMould is cofinanced research project and is, according to the priorities of Slovenian Smart Specialisation Strategy S4 classified in the priority domain Factories of the Future.

In this project a self-regulating flexible mould prototype for plastic injection moulding will be developed. The prototype mould will be capable to produce geometrical different products by changing of cavities with autonomous regulated actuator’s system. Such mould will enable cost-effective injection moulding of various identical or completely different products in small batches on a cost efficient way.

Bizjan Orodjarstvo is responsible for fabrication of the prototype mould with the actuator’s system. The Company will be also provider of the new generation of flexible moulds in the market.

Slovenian Tool and Die Development Centre – Tecos (www.tecos.si) is also included in the project as a partner. Its main responsibilities are design of demonstrator parts and development of mould concept with actuators and control system. TECOS will also perform operational testing and will assist in the coordination and reporting of project activities.
